Now that I have moved to Edinburgh to start a Graduate Residency at Leith School of Art it has been a really good chance to see my work with perspective and start thinking about new ways of exploring my ideas.  I find myself very confortable working in a small scale when I have to create a new body of work. It is a good way to explore color, composition, mark making, textures etc, and it allows me to be very playful.

My process is very intuitive, so I don’t normally start with a pre-concived idea or image of how I want the painting to look… I think that it would limit myself.
If I trust my intuition, it will take me to unexpected places. So at the end, each one of these studies come from an accumulation of decisions in a very playful, intuitive and enjoyable process.
